Adopt-A-Precinct (AAP)

About the Program

The Adopt-A-Precinct (AAP) program is an initiative that creates a partnership between your 501(c)(3) charitable organization and the Hernando County Supervisor of Elections. Members of your organization that are registered voters in Hernando County may serve as election workers on Election Day or during the early voting period.

Their earnings are paid directly to your charitable organization instead of them receiving a paycheck from the Supervisor of Elections. Each election worker will earn between $300 - $400 for training and working on Election Day. In November of 2022, our top-earning groups were the Hernando County Sheriff’s Charities ($1,677), Scout Troop 433 ($1,420), and Junior Service League ($1,359).

There will be three elections in 2024. Your organization can easily make thousands of dollars next year by participating in the Adopt-A-Precinct program. Contact the election worker coordinator at (352) 754-4125 for more details. This may be one of the easiest fundraisers that your organization can do!
