The Youth of Hernando County
The youth of Hernando County that are not yet of voting age are our future voters. It is critical that we provide them with experiences that show them first hand just how important their voices are in our democracy. Each student should have the opportunity to learn about the history of their right to vote and the impact their voice can have on their future so that when it comes time for them to exercise their right to vote they can make an informed decision as to whether or not they want to do so. Just telling a young person that they need to do something pales in comparison to allowing them to experience and understand first hand all of the reasons why they should do something.

Request a Speaker
The Supervisor of Elections is available to speak to students or local organizations, to educate and inform the group about voting and elections. Election equipment may be demonstrated during the speaking engagement, however, this is subject to availability.
